About
Formed in 2014, the Monday Blues is a group of young musicians from Oxfordshire, many of whom are alumni of Chipping Norton School. We were originally called the CNS Allstars and we play a unique blend of swing, jazz and rock 'n' roll with tunes from artists ranging from Nat King Cole and Dean Martin to Paolo Nutini and Gregory Porter.
Gigging highlights have included Cornbury Festival, Upton Jazz Festival and The Guinness Cork Jazz festival 2012 and 2013. Having performed at Alex James Harvest festival (now the Big Feastival) we were asked to perform at the launch of a Microsoft app in a London club that he was organizing. Since then we have also been invited to perform for David Cameron at a garden party in Number 10 Downing St in 2013.
In May 2013 the band released a CD in order to raise funds for two charities: The Teenage Cancer Trust and the Mulberry Bush School and they were nominated for an award at the Oxfordshire Youth Awards in March 2014, at which they performed as the opening act.
Listen to some of our tunes and if you like what you hear, then please don't hesitate to call us about performing at your party, corporate event or wedding.
